Opportunities for Giving to GSO

There are several ways to make charitable gifts while retaining income for yourself and perhaps loved ones as well. You can fulfill your desire to give and enjoy tax and other financial benefits while increasing spendable income for yourself and/or others you name. Securities, such as stocks, bonds, and mutual funds may be given in addition to real estate and other property. Possible life income plans are: annuity trust, unitrust, life estate arrangement, charitable lead trust, and revocable living trust. If you would like more information, contact your lawyer or board member.

Endowment Update

An endowment fund was set up in the 50th year of the orchestra's existence. Contributions made to “Genesee Symphony” may be made to this fund at any time through a Board Member or by mailing to PO Box 391, Batavia, NY 14021. Income earned from the endowment may be used to help fund the operation of the orchestra. The symphony is known as a 501©(3) organization for tax purposes and contributions to the endowment are deductible for income and gift tax purposes.
